About a month ago I decided that I wanted to crochet a Christmas gift for my best friend so I started looking for inspiration online. Please forgive me as I cannot remember where I ended up finding my inspiration and if you happen to notice a similarity of this pattern to someone else's please let me know. I would like to give proper recognition where due.

This pattern uses a combination of v stitch and shells by using only a chain and double crochet. I found this to be a fairly easy pattern since the same thing is repeated over and over again.

I used a light worsted weight with a 5.5mm hook. I suspect you could use any weight of yarn with comparable sized hook but just make sure to reduce the number of times you repeat the pattern.

Dusty Rose Crochet Scarf Pattern

Chain 34 or 28 for a slimmer scarf.

Row 1: In the third ch from hook work 1 dc, ch 1, 1 dc ( V stich), * skip 2 ch, 3 dc in next ch, skip 2 ch, V st in next chain. Repeat from * across, ending 1 dc in last chain. Ch 2, turn.

Row 2: * Work a V st under ch 1 of V st, 3 dc in center dc of 3 dc group. Repeat from * all the way across to ending V st, 1 dc in top of turn ch. Ch 2, turn.

Repeat row 2 until desired length. Finish off and weave in ends.

Happy Crocheting!
