Infusing vodka has become quite popular in the last little while so I thought I would jump on the bandwagon and try my hand at making a couple bottles.
Cranberry Lime Vodka Ingredients
- Lime rind
- Sealable glass bottle or jar
I didn't give exact measurements since it really depends on the size of your bottle but I used approximately 1-1/4 bags of cranberries, 8-10 oz of vodka, rind from two limes and 2 table spoons of sugar.
I was also interested in finding a swing top bottle which was next to impossible. After much searching I found a couple at Stokes kitchen store.
What to Do
Discard rotten or overly soft cranberries and wash the remaining berries well. Using a knife or toothpick poke a hole into each cranberry and drop into clean bottle. Carefully peel lime rind so that there is no pith and layer in-between cranberries and sprinkle sugar over top. Cover with vodka until it reaches the top, seal and shake. The sugar may not dissolve immediately but it will after a couple days of sitting and being shaken. Enjoy after 2-4 weeks of sitting and infusing.
