There is quite a bit of flexibility when decorating the exterior of your home for the autumn season. You don't have to worry about messy hay, dirty pumpkins or the possibility of forgetting to throw an old squash out once it pasts its prime. Decorating outside also allows you to use items that you would never dream of putting inside the home.
While flowers and pumpkins really don't create a mess, hay is another story so it is best to leave it outside. Use a single bundle or stack multiple pieces together combined with bright seasonal flowers, orange pumpkins and fallen leaves for the perfect exterior autumn display. Hay bundles also look great by them selves as they are a neutral organic colour which can go with most exteriors.
Bundles of Corn
Natural bundles of corn look great outside. You can use them to frame the front entrance or they can be combined with other fall elements for a complex display. They have a naturally messy appearance and can be quite tall which is why it is best to use these outside.
Maybe you just don't have the room for a large pumpkin or cant haul it inside as it is too heavy. If that is the case, leaving these oversized pumpkins outside is a perfect solution to this dilemma. They fill in a lot of space so you may only need one and are complimented well with trailing vines or leaves.
