If you are planning a backyard overhaul this spring consider including a fire place in those plans. Its a fun way to spend time with family and friends while enjoying a couple beers or s'mores and its the next closest thing to camping. I know, nothing can compare to the fresh mountain air, cute wild life and grungy clothes that comes with spending a weekend in a tent camping but a backyard fire pit can tame those temptations.

If you are having those camping temptations as much as I am use these outdoor fire pits as inspiration to create your own backyard escape.

Organic Free Form Fire Pit

Large boulders are used as a perimeter for this fire pit to create an organic and free form fire pit. Ethanol or natural gas makes this a clean, woodless pit that is easy to light but can easily be converted into a natural wood burning pit.

Rectangular Brick Fire Pit

This is a very clean and contemporary brick fireplace that is capped with a metal topper. Its rectangular shape creates a consistent and tidy appearance while still complimenting the surrounding nature.

Borderless Fire Pit

This borderless fireplace allows the heat and light to travel over a wider span. Gravel and small stones are kept in place with a very low metal barrier but since its such a relaxed an open concept little children would need to be watched at all times.

Corner Ethanol Outdoor Fireplace

This uniquely shaped fireplace conforms the seating arrangement without taking up walkway space. Ethanol is burned instead of wood which makes this an easy to light pit.

Sunken Square Fire Pit

Sunken fire pits are sleek, clean and convenient. They hide out of sight when you are not using them by placing a grate or panel over top. This also means there is no way you will trip into it any other time.

Rusted Wrought Iron Fire Pit

Decorative free standing fireplaces serve as a beautiful alternative to traditional fire pits. They not only contain a burning fire but are also stunning art pieces. Fire flickers through the cut outs while shadows dance in the background on dark nights.

Ethanol Table Fire Place

Why not bring the fireplace to the dining table. A safe and low burning ethanol fire is smoke free which means you can enjoy your meal without getting choked. This burning centerpiece also gives off some warmth to keep you warm into the late evening.

Happy backyard camping!
